Hello, my name is Krzysztof Wierzbicki, and over the past few years I’ve been testing gravel bikes and bike components to better understand the comfort they provide. Instead of relying purely on subjective impressions, I wanted to approach the topic in a more scientific and data-driven way. To do that, I developed my own vibration-measuring methodology using a specially modified vibration app, a Bluetooth sensor, and a repeatable testing procedure that allows me to objectively compare suspension stems, suspension seatposts, tires, and other components.
For several years, I conducted these tests on my website, gravelbikes.cc. During that time, I even built my own testing lab, complete with a 200 kg Woodway treadmill. Today, I continue this type of testing for CyclingAbout.com, where I manage the Comfort Lab section.
But over time, I realized something important: while objective, scientific testing is incredibly valuable, it’s only one part of making the right purchase decision. The “best” product is rarely universally best — it’s the best for a particular person, with particular needs, preferences, riding style, expectations, and budget.
That realisation is what led me to create Finding Best.
The goal of Finding Best is twofold.
First, I want to promote and make it easier to discover scientific, data-driven, and objective product tests created by experts, reviewers, engineers, and enthusiasts who genuinely care about methodology and real-world performance. In a world overloaded with marketing noise, trustworthy testing matters more than ever.
Second, I want to create a place where people can share knowledge, experiences, opinions, ratings, and inspiration with one another. Because numbers and lab results alone don’t tell the whole story. Real user experiences matter too.
That’s why Finding Best combines both worlds through its recommendation system. On one side, it takes into account expert testing and objective measurements. On the other, it incorporates community scores, user opinions, and shared experiences. The idea is simple: connect scientific testing with collective human experience to help everyone find the best product for their particular needs — and feel fully happy with their purchase.
I see myself not only as a tester, but also as a curator of high-quality review content — someone who searches for meaningful, trustworthy, evidence-based reviews and makes them easier to discover.
While I’ll continue publishing some of my own bike-focused reviews and tests, I also plan to expand into other categories such as cars, electronics, and everyday products where objective testing and community insight can genuinely help people make better decisions.
And I’d love for you to be part of this journey.
If you come across scientific, objective, or especially insightful tests and reviews worth sharing, feel free to send them to hello@finding.best. Together, we can build a place that promotes more meaningful reviews, better recommendations, and ultimately happier purchases.
